Got a new computer and now having trouble replying to threads - any thoughts???

Ok, we have always had a Mac, but v. recently I just got a PC laptop.  Now the reply function is all weird.  Like there's no cursor.  I can type a reply, but I can't go back mid-sentence to add a word, edit a typo, etc.  The delete key does nothing.  I have to backspace and erase everything I've already typed in order to fix something earlier in the post.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Any thoughts as to why it would be like this and what I can do to fix it?  FWIW I'm using Firefox (which was what I had on my Mac btw).  Oh yes, I also forgot to mention the enter key doesn't have any effect either so I can only do posts with one paragraph.  This is only on mothering that I have this problem - not other forums or in email or anything.....

firefox has been having compatibility issues here, have no idea on the pc version problems but I'd update firefox just to be safe.

Upgrading to the latest version of Firefox will not necessarily resolve your issues. Our platform engineers are working to make everything compatible but it will take time, as it does with every new release of a browser. Until they do you might try switching to the more basic BB editor.
