lots of braxton-hicks after long travel....

hello all! I had a question about these contractions and just hoping for some support since I am alone here in Japan. I came from beirut yesterday to Japan and it was a VERY long and tiring trip. i slept well and rested the whole day today, but all day i was having these contractions sometimes getting really strong (not painful thought and irregular). i had them with dd quiet often and i was having them since very early this pregnancy too, but they were not so strong i guess. being here without dh doesnt help at all (i freak out easily eyesroll.gif and there is noone to massage my feet) so please can you give me some clue on when to be really concerned about them. i have a defense on monday (thats what i came for to Japan) so thinking about them makes it hard for me to concentrate on my studies (let alone the heaache because i am unable to sleep because of the time difference) and worrying makes it all even worse. thankx a lot in advance!

Drink lots and lots of water and rest on your left side (in the beginning you'll be peeing all the time because of all the water, but it helps in the long run!). I know the cutoff is if you're having more than 4 or 5 an hour you're supposed to call your OB. I can understand why you'd be freaking out a little bit being by yourself over there! It's probably just a result of jet lag, but if they keep up after drinking several glasses of water and resting on your left side is there anyway you can get hold of whoever is caring for your pregnancy? Hopefully after a long rest they'll relax again!
