Need middle name suggestions quick!

DH is not really helping much... there are definitely some he doesn't like but the rest he just says "it's ok"

The first name is Sarah. Our last name is short, starts with a hard C and is an object word. I keep telling him we need to just change the last name :)

Here are some of our top picks:

Haberlea (DH not yet convinced but this is my fav)

Mia

Eden

Elisya

Kirstin

Any suggestions? Scheduled C/S next Wed!

I think either a one syllable or 3 syllable name would work well with Sarah and a short last name like yours.. here are some suggestions:

Sarah Grace

Sarah Isabelle

Sarah Lillian

Sarah Margaret

Sarah Juliet

Sarah Hope

Sarah May

Sarah Allison

Sarah Penelope

Sarah Jane

Sarah Bethany

Sarah Rose

how about Sarah Leanne that's cute too or Lynn

I think you have to be careful with middle names that start with vowels - they can sound muddy combined with the "ah" at the end of Sarah. Sarah Mia kind of runs together on the tongue - Sarahmia - so from your list, I think I'd go for Kirstin or Haberlea?

I'm a Sarah and my middle name is Marie, but that's arguably far too common as a middle name. I like it though - Sarah Marie.

Sarah has been top contender for me a couple of different times ... if we'd used it, it would have been Sarah Augusta. :)

I'm a Sarah too and my middle name is Louise. I agree that a middle name beginning with a vowel (particularly when the stress is on the first syllable) sounds a bit weird with the hard AH ending of the first name. Same with names beginning with R or S. One-syllable names seem great for middles, in this case, though there aren't all that many good ones. Leigh or Lee? (Still has the "lee" ending of Haberlea, which I think is too much of a mouthful after Sarah). June? Jade? Belle? Kate? Maeve?

I too am a Sara, and I think not going with a vowel middle name is a good plan! I'm Sara Brock (mom's maiden name) and now that I'm older I really like it. I know way too many Sara(h) Elizabeth's so I'd say don't go for that as a middle name! I like Sarah Mia a lot!

Oooh, I like Sarah Louise. So classic.

I think from that list I like Eden best.  I'm not sure how you pronounce Elisya, if it's an "ee" sound I'd say yes, if not it might not work with the 'ah' at the end of sarah.  I don't think it's a question of vowel or no vowel, it just has to be different enough that the names separate well.

Why thank you! I like it too. My mum used to call me that when I was in trouble :)
