Who else is so excited????
bbcamerica.com/doctorwho has party snack ideas....
my kids and I were really saddened to hear about Elisabeth Sladen's death too :(
here is a nice article that was posted on Tuesday http://popwatch.ew.com/2011/04/19/elisabeth-sladen-an-appreciation-of-the-doctor-who-actress/
the actor who played the Brigadier died in February too - Nicholas Courtney
what did you all think?
I don't think Amy is pregnant - I think she was trying to remember about the Silents and all she could remember was that she felt nauseous....
Does this mean there won't be any new doctors? in Trial of a Time Lord they said the Valeyard was a future doctor... also he can regenerate 12x for a total of 13 regenerations (supposedly) - and this is only his 11th... so??
Yeah, I'm not convinced she's pregnant either. Hope it's not some alien possession.
I thought it was a good episode. Looking forward to Part II. Sorry, I'm not as familiar with Doctor Who facts/figures as that, so I cant speak to how many lives he's got left. I hope Matt Smith is around another couple of years.
Me too. It's one thing to be the first married companions but it's another for them to be pregnant/with infant.
I thought it strange Amy and River both had nausea. I thought perhaps they were related mother/daughter or even the same person. I also thought River was the spaceman but maybe it was the doctor himself to "tie things up"
I didn't know he could regen 13 times. He did lose 200 years but I don't think he regenned in that time.
I feel so bad for River.
thank you - I got my inspiration from you LOL
It's cannon from the classic who but some are saying that since 11 "reset" the universe that Moffat could rewrite some of that.... :shrug
I guessed Amy was pregnant before it was even hinted at. *smug* DH thought I was crazy.
I have a friend who firmly believes that River is a future Doctor. I don't; it would be too weird and incestuous. I tend towards the belief that she is indeed his wife, and that she killed him at some point in the future (for a very understandable reason). I don't get this whole "We're travelling in opposite directions in time" thing, though. They're TIME TRAVELLERS - why would their meetings be consistently "backwards", rather than randomly here-and-there? Plus, as we know from Silence in the Library, she's already met the version of the Doctor who didn't recognise her. Granted, Season 6 River doesn't know that yet, but we-the-audience already know that she actually coped with it pretty well, so presenting it as some unspeakably awful situation didn't really sit right with me.
What else? I found the Silents extremely creepy. Wasn't too sure about the ending - it seemed like a bit of a cop-out, honestly. Am slowly, reluctantly becoming OK with Matt Smith as the Doctor, even though he's no David Tennant. Amy's hair is gorgeous! And I liked... whatsisname... Badger from Firefly. The ex-FBI chap. He's cool.
River was the one in the space suit. She said she had to kill the doctor at some point she just forgot by now. She also killed herself for the doctor when we first met her. I think the key to being a time lord IS the tardis. I think it's somewhat organic and that's like their momma in a strange way. Therefore, River is part alien. The doctor is grossed out by humans and will never love one (incapable of it) and he was/is in love with River telling me she is definatly an alien. Remember he had to oh what was it.. create a humanoid version of himself for Billie in another dimmension to love since he could never actually love a human no matter how much he cared for her.
Since meeting River I have always thought she was related to Emilia as in her daughter.
I also wonder whatever happened to his female clone doctor of himself.
I miss David :( The doctors tend to grow on me. I hated David and now he's my favorite lol. And now this guy is growing on me.
