After doing a little research and talking with some people, I've decided to try flower essences for focus and attention for my son.  He has some sensory processing issues, with adhd-like symptoms too.

At people's recommendations, I'll start with Rabbitsbrush and Madia.  I'm a little confused about how to mix it, though.  One peron told me that he gives his son a "shot glass" of water with a few drops of each every day.  Then, the lady who sold them to me gave me a dropper and bottle with instructions to fill the bottle 3/4 full and then add a 5 drops? (droppers-full?) of each, and to give 2-4 drops? (droppers?)  each time.

Obviously, it's the proportions in the mixture and dosage that's confusing me.  I could just do the shot glass idea, but it sounds like the dropper bottle would just be easier, if I could figure it out.  Sorry for the dumb question.

Also, while I'm asking questions, if I wanted to add something for emotional regulation (mood swings), what would I look at for a 6-1/2 year old?

I was also thinking about lavender or callendula to help him relax and settle at night - would I do a separate tincture for this, or would it be okay to have those during the day too?  Maybe they'd help him relax and calm enough to help with the emotional intensity, if I gave them during the day?

I really need to do more reading...Thanks for any advice!
