I have been searching and searching online and I have only been able to find one ND near Rapid City and he seems to be a lymphatic specialist and not a general practitioner. An ND or MD/DO who incorporates natural remedies into their practice would be preferable but even an MD/DO who is relaxed and would be supportive of natural remedies would be fine. I'm a little north of Pierre, SD but I'm willing to drive. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi there!
Â
Yes, living in SD is quite the conundrum sometimes when it comes to finding care providers that meet your needs/wants, isn't it?!?! :o) I was aware of one ND that was in the Watertown/Sioux Falls area, however, he moved to Colorado a few months ago. I took my children to him once before he left. Sorry, I know that isn't that helpful. I just saw that your post was sitting all by itself with no replies, and it made me sad! I didn't want you to feel ignored. ;-)
Â
Have you looked into any chiropractors, etc that focus on more homeopathic/alternative forms of care? In my experience with my own children, it's been more than difficult to find any MD/DOs that are even remotely into that type of thing. I've had to seek out providers in other fields instead.
Â
Good luck!! Please share if you find someone!!
:o)

I'm in Sioux Falls, and I'd agree on the chiropractors, though I also really like my ped.  (1 partially vaxed child, 3 totally unvaccinated, 2 homeborn, youngest I brought in with a birth defect after the homebirth and he is still wonderful to us) We're a long drive apart though, and if you're anything like me...by the time I've decided it's bad enough for a ped, it's also probably bad enough that I won't be driving several hours to get to someone.
Try this link www.doctors-look.com/usa-sd/naturopathic-doctor/. I'm not sure if any are for children but it's worth a try.
