Looking to meet families with little ones near Charlestown/Claremont/Springfield, VT, Bellows...

Hi everyone, I am new to post here and recently moved to Charlestown, NH. I am hoping to meet some like-minded folks in the area to let our children play while having some nice mama-time! I have two children - 2.5 yr old girl and 4 yr old boy and are striving a simple wholesome lifestyle. I enjoy crafting, cooking, playing with my little ones, spending time at farms, and getting to know our new beautiful landscape. We enjoy creating our "Waldorf-inspired" home life (including limited media, lots of storytelling, free exploration, natural toys, etc.) We would love to find our tribe here and start making connections!! Also, any advice on CSAs in the area, sources to meet other families, food coops, etc. would be appreciated.

We would love to connect with you. I am originally from Springfield, VT and are moving back home in June so we can raise our children in the country. I finally got a job in VT. We have a huge garden in Springfield that has been maintained by my parents the past few years. We also know some of the local homeschooling families but will be reconnecting with them in the coming months.

We have 3 and my husband homeschools. Girl 7, boy 4, girl 3.

PS Can't wait to see your garden! I am originally from Texas, so I have A LOT to learn about New England gardening. I am looking forward to talking to you about it. I am amazed daily at how fast everything grows here! It's awesome!

I am also interested in discussing with you (and your husband) your homeschooling journey. I had seriously considered that path for our family. Although my husband was definitely not sure about it... I wanted to follow a Waldorf inspired curriculum and found that in our last town the Waldorf school  tuition was out of reach for us (and I LOVE being with the kids, the freedom, the control of environment, etc. ) Also there was a Waldorf Homeschooling group forming that gave nice support. But, after moving up here, we have been attending the Monadnock Waldorf School's parent /child classes and have been very impressed by the teachers and the kindergarten, so have decided to enroll my boy for 3 days next year. So, this may be our path now, we'll see!

Hi Amy and Jody, I am moving to Bellows Falls/Rockland at the end of June :) too! We are from MA but love it up here! We are naturalists, garderners, no cable, we limit our kids to occasional movies and video games rarely. I have a son who is 11 and a daughter 2 1/2 will be 3 in Oct. and I have homeschooled my son up until this past year when he decided to try public school, we would really like him to go to the Compass School and I plan on homeschooling my daughter as long as possible. Anyway I won't know my home phone there yet but would love to be kept in the loop if you all would take down my # as well I would love to connect and get together too!
