Anyone have knowledge about the Corpus Luteum?

I got an ultra sound the other day (7 weeks) to confirm my due date, and the nurse mentioned that I have a Corpus Luteum cyst on my right ovary that was slightly bigger than the average for that stage. She said the average CL cyst for that stage of pregnancy is about 1-2 cennimeters and mine is 3. 

Anyone have any experience on whether this is a big deal or not?

I don't think it would be a bad thing. The corpus luteum produces progesterone until the placenta takes over, then it just disintegrates anyways. I wouldn't be concerned about it at all :)
