Super Positive OPK on same day of Thermal Shift??

Hi,

I'm still trying to figure out what is going on!  This is my first month charting BBT and using OPK.  So here's what happened:  On Thursday I tested in the am and the pm and had an opk that was "close" just not quite there- I figured it was negative but my DH said he thought it looked positive.  So again, on Friday morning I tested again and got a similar "kinda" line.  (I still counted this as neg even though DH said he thought it looked pos.)

SO we didn't BD on Friday but when I woke up on Sat my temp was up to 98.59 (had been 97.7 range) I quickly woke him up and said "there may still be time!" I just figured he had been right about the "faint" positives on thrs/fri.    BUT later on Sat I took another OPK just because and it was TRULY positive (like, no doubt)  so I even took it again later that evening and still truly positive.

I was thinking that my temp spike on Sat might have been a fluke and I would actually be O'ing on Sunday (per the positive OPK on Sat)  but this morning (sun)  my temp was still up (98.06)  which is quite a bit lower than yesterday, but still much higher than it had been the rest of the week.

Anyone have an idea of what is happening??   It seems that the day my OPK was most positive was also the day my temp spiked (and has stayed up for 2 days now)

It's possible you would have had a positive OPK on Friday afternoon. After all, the hormone can spike at any time of day or night. Also, you can ovulate 12-48 hours from the positive OPK, perhaps you ovulated at the 12 hour mark, which would put your ovulation late Friday night/early Saturday morning?

Did that make sense?
