If you've delivered on or after your due date, how did you spend the last week before your due date?

Working? Errands? Chasing around other LOs? Being waited on? On bedrest? I'm curious.

Living life as usual!  Both my boys were born in the 41st week, I didn't change a thing.  I worked up until the day I was induced with my first, and the day I started labor with my second was spent at the county fair/demo derby.  ( I was IN labor...7 1/2 cm by the time the derby was over.)

Same old same old. Taking the kids to the places they need to go. Doing what needs to be done. Final homebirth prep.

I delivered DD exactly on her due date - of course, I had spent the prior week telling everyone not to expect anything on that day because babies just don't miraculously appear on their due date - proved myself wrong with that one!!!

I cleaned. I cleaned a lot - all the things that otherwise get neglected were done like washing the baseboards, dusting the ceiling fans, washing and rehanging the curtains. I didn't even realize I was doing so much housework until a friend came over the day after the LO was born and exclaimed that she had never seen our house so clean! She wanted to know who we hired to do the work, LOL!!! I also worked on some sewing projects and tried to enjoy DS's naptime with a little sunbathing if the weather was nice.

This time around, though, I feel super crappy, so I think I will end up relaxing and whining more than I ever have.

Doing the normal stuff, chasing children all over the place. I try to just live life like I normally would and not sit around and wait on baby. I mke plans with others but warn them that things might change!

This was my first so I didn't have other LOs to distract me. I have fibromyalgia and my symptoms were really bad at the end, so I was in a constant battle to keep busy but not exhaust myself. I ended up cooking a lot of food and freezing it for later and doing little crafty projects like dyeing onesies or making crib sheets. (Come to think of it, DS has never slept one night on any of those sheets!) I also watched a LOT of Netflix.

I really hated it when people would say "oh enjoy this time now bc it's so much harder having a newborn" UH... no it's not!!
