Same here! This whole actually trying thing is crazy different to me.

AFM- I think I'm having implantation bleeding? I'm trying not to get too excited, but I can't come up with any other reason that I would spot 6 DPO. It started right after DTD, so I guess I could have been injured? Seems weird for it to be such a small amount and still be going on 24 hours later though. Also LOTS of creamy CM. It's been creamy ever since O, but there's more now. Thoughts?

So I "sneaked" a test in and got BFN, but it was only 9 DPO, so I will try again in a week... I am still hopeful. With my first I didn't see a line until a week after my missed period, so NBD. I am super excited to "lurk" on the Jan2012 board, when it comes out...

Anyone else test early and get a BFN?

lactatinggirl- sounds promising! I'm a day behind you, also having lots of creamy CM- I wish my EWCM had been this noticeable this cycle! I had a teeny spotting at 3dpo, none since then which is great for me (I have been getting a lot of spotting the last few cycles, which unless it is implantation, is bad news!) I hope this brings you your BFP, especially if you don't normally get any spotting.

asprague- you still have plenty of time, are you feeling any symptoms? I haven't tested as I'm only at 5dpo, but I'm a known POASaholic, so I support your early testing, you just never know when that BFP could pop up 2whistle.gif

Nothing exciting here, I had pretty acute 'take your breath away' kind of pinching in my uterus last night which lasted about 20 seconds and then came back on and off all evening and a few times today along with the urge to pee more often. Which would make me ecstatic, except I had this at 7dpo until 9dpo last cycle, and no pos.gif, so I'm trying to ignore it. That and just lots of creamy CM, I am hoping that I won't get any spotting, seems to always start early though eyesroll.gif.

I'm having a VERY weak moment. Tell me not to test in the morning! It'll only lead to heartache!
Dont Do it! It can take up to 3 days to build enough hcg to notice on a hpt! It will just make you feel like if it isn't positive it didn't happen, but at 6dpo, you still have more than a week left! Crossing my fingers for you.

I'm just starting my 2ww. I'm 4dpo now.  I'm trying to be more laid back this cycle. I was SO hopeful last cycle and really, really thought we'd conceive so I was very disappointed when we didn't and had a rough time with that. I'm trying to view this as a process rather than a month to month thing so I'm thinking of it as if I don't conceive by August, I can start to get annoyed. I have my follow-up with my OB in August so I figure if nothing is going on by then, I'll demand more tests.  But until then I'm just trying to patient. But gosh, am I bad at that!

It's so great to read this thread and to hear your stories!  And, I'm happy to join in.  I think I am 4 dpo (not sure how to interpret the fertility monitor info...).  And, I'm cautiously optimistic.  We likely missed dtd on the two best days but definitely dtd 2 and 3 days before ovulating and on the second positive O day on the monitor.  So, fingers crossed!

I'm going to try and hold out until at least Sunday 5/8 to test.  With my first I wasn't counting days or anything so I have no idea how many days PO it took before we got a BFP.  I do know that I had a trail of negative tests and then kept buying and using them until I had 5 positives.  I'm a scientist, I needed proof :)

My problem right now is that a) I want to be pregnant so badly and b) I have 4 pregnancy tests in the bathroom.  It's going to be really hard to wait until Sunday!  And even then it may very well be too early to test.  I now understand the idea of the 2WW!

So, I'm dying to hear some of your updates... Lactatinggirl, did you test?  Any news?   Callieollie, seems like we'll be testing around the same time!  Asprague, you have plenty of time.  Any new symptoms?

I haven't tested, but it's so hard! I had a temp dip today (7 DPO) and I'm really hoping it's an implantation dip! How long do I have to wait to test?!?

Hey ladies!  So nice to see a thread like this one.  I am just starting the 2ww today as I believe I ovulated yesterday (bad cramping yesterday and today, cd14 &15).  The hubby and I BD every single day last week up until yesterday, ha!  Our first baby was born in October of last year and she was a complete surprise.  We're definitely ready to give her a sibling!  I am a POAS addict and will definitely need support :)  Does anyone else get really bad cramps when they're ovulating?

Yep. I almost always know when I'm ovulating due to cramping. My cramping is pretty mild though. Welcome to the 2WW! Hope you catch your first TTC egg.

Lactatinggirl - I'm going to try to hold out until  10dpo...  my willpower may make it only to 8.

If you think you have noticed implantation from spotting or cramping, I think you can test 1-2 days later.  (and if I were you, I would test tomorrow!)  Your body doesn't start producing hcg until after implantation so it's rarely in detectable levels until 1-2 days post implantation.  But, quick implantations are what explains all those early BFPs that people report!

I might be a POAS enabler though...

Can I join?

@MandoRazo -  I got pretty sharp O pains and have in the past. My left one always hurts but this month there was rt side pain that was clearly O pain. I also had lft pain too so who knows.

We are ttc after a chemical pg in March. I'm new to the ttc thing as our 1st (now 2 1/2) was 1st time we could've gotten pg after deciding to just let it happen.

I'm 11 dpo (opk's) now and have a 25-26 day cycle. Yesterday I had an evap line that drove me nuts! This am test was nothing. I'm up and down on whether I'm having symptoms. I've had a bit of a twinge unlike anything else I've experienced just below and to the right of my belly button for days now and today some menstrual-like cramps and am feeling a little more tired and off with a tad of nausea but it could be just overtired. I'm always up pretty late so it could be regular exhaustion plus wishful thinking. I also had EWCM as expected but then again a few days post ovulation??? Is that a sign?

My period is due thursday the 5th and I'm a bit of a POAS junkie. Hubby left on a trip for a few days so I promised myself I wouldn't test for a few days but I'm having a hard time on this roller coaster, especially after last month. Our 1st was so fast and easy I guess I expected the same and I'm not sure if I'm cut out for this waiting as I'm a bit impatient.

I'm pretty sure I ovulated on 4/21 because of the sharp ovulation pains and OPK (also had some a couple days before so...)

My question is this: would there be enough time between ovulation and period for proper implantation to happen?

ok WAY too much info. I apologize. Just trying to find a place to vent and find some others who understand. Thanks and good luck to all!

Hi AmyW, I think there is definitely enough time between ovulating and your period.  Implantation takes, on average, 7-10 days.  It can happen in as few as 3 days.  Sounds like you'll have 14 days or so between ovulating and your expected period.  That's pretty average (as in the statistical mean).

Good luck!  Let us know what happens when or if you test.

ASF - I'm obsessed.  We got pregnant with our first without tracking (though trying) on our first cycle.  We've been waiting to TTC for #2 for several months do to a bunch of work related constraints.  So, even this is our first cycle TTC, emotionally we were completely ready months ago.  I've been obsessed with dates and timing for the past bunch of days.  Totally obsessed!

And I have so much work to do.  Ugh.

Any news from anyone else?

I'm thinking that I'm not pregnant. I'm still spotting and my temp stayed down this morning. Going by the NFP rules (rather than TCOYF which doesn't really specify) I'm at the bottom of my high temperature level. I don't know exactly what that means. Hopefully this isn't a new cycle starting because that would be a 6 day LP. :-(

Oh, I'm sorry Lactatinggirl, everything else sounded really promising!  I really don't know anything about temping.  I decided against doing it for now as I still wake often in the morning to nurse my DD.  I didn't think I could get a resting temp...  as such I have no idea what the different temp patterns mean.  I would wonder though if a 2 day temp dip could still reflect implantation depending on when the process began and finished.  But really, I don't know.  Just speculating.  But I wouldn't give up hope completely.  When is your period due?

Well, I caved and tested. AT 7DPO. I've obviously lost my mind. I had a temp dip yesterday morning... but then again this morning, it was still pretty low. I'm pretty sure my period is coming on. I guess my cycle is still messed up from the miscarriage in March, because today is Day 26 for me, and I would generally be spotting by now. I tend to get at least a full 24 hours of spotting before my period begins in earnest. I obviously have a really short LP going on now, too, if i get my period in the next day or so. I just want to get back to normal. greensad.gif

This wait is driving me crazy! I have one test waiting in the bathroom, I promised hubby I'd wait until Wed morn, when my period is due. As for symptoms, my breasts are slightly tingly, slight increase in urination, and major fatigue lately! Sometimes I talk myself into certain symptoms, like peeing a lot, but this fatigue is much more than usual. I had a m/c at 12 weeks (my first m/c of 3 preg.) at the end of Feb. I waited until my next period before starting to try again. So last time we got preggo first cycle, I am hoping for another hole in one (does that sound gross or what?).

I am not stopping working out this time, it didn't help last time and I gained weight. I am in good shape right now and I signed up for yoga, indoor rock climbing and a fitness class for as long as the 1st tri will last.

Oh and who else is now lurking in the Jan 2012 board? I was waiting for it to come up! Wish me luck on waiting until tomorrow to test!

Good luck to all of you other impatient TTCers!

I think I'm out for this month. I woke up to spotting which I normally get a day or two prior to my period, plus am just not feeling pg and another negative test this am. I'll post if things change... Back to hoping and charting for now. If this month is a no, then at least I have my new Lunette cup to use smile.gif

Good luck to you all!

Lunette cup Yay! I got mine a year ago, it is awesome! Sometimes it doesn't fit right, but that has more to do with other things (like being too turned on or something). Good luck!

OK, so I tested this morning. The test is basically neg, but if I look REAL hard, I can ALMOST see a line... what does a faint line look like, is it undeniably there or is it nearly imagined?

I am just counting it as a negative result, and now we wait. My period is due today, so either there will be blood or there won't. I am hoping for the latter ;)

Anyone else testing today?
