need dishwasher dishes

I am sick of handwashing my son's dishware, which is a mishmosh of bamboo and random plastic.

I want to get a few sets of matching dishes that are not breakable and can go in the dishwasher.  Pottery Barn Kids has some cute stuff, think it's bamboo based, but I'm not sure it can be dishwashed.

I do not want to give him my dinner plates yet (although we do occasionally) because he's clutsy and I don't want to be replacing Crate & Barrel dinnerware.  Sorry.

So...any ideas?

IKEA has a whole bunch of plastic kids dinnerware that is dishwasher safe, cheap, and wears like iron.

I'm fine with plastic so any major store will have those.  I have a set from Oxo that is grippy on the bottom and comes with a detatachable rip around the top to help them learn to use the fork on a plate. (It keeps all of the food from slipping off).

If you are interested in a non-plastic alternative, Lunchbots makes a set of stainless steel dishes - a cup, bowl and deep plate for $20 a set on Amazon.

What about corelle? That's what we use (for us and the kids, since I don't have enough space for separate kid friendly and non-kid friendly dishes).

Thrift store. My lil guy has ceramic plates like the rest of us, I bought him a few salad/dessert plates. They are cheap and random, so I don't care if they get broken. Bowls are tipy-er so we got some plastic Ikea ones. Same for silver ware, I bought small ones from the thrift store, and the cutest mini-coffee mugs. He loves to have 'tea' with me.

I think that's what I'm leaning towards.  I want matching... :)
