Nasty toddler Habits...

Anyone else's kids have a few.

My least favorite of DD's at the moment is when she stuffs a ton of food into her cheek (despite me trying to get her to chew each bite) and holds it there for up to a half hour then walks up to the dog and goes "here Billie!" and spits it all on the floor like the dog is a baby bird...Then she says "welcome Billie!"

So gross...

She also likes to take her poopy diapers after I change them and grab them and sniff them deeply then go "YUCKY!"

I laugh every single time....Anyone else have a gross little toddler running around!

Nail picking- when she's nervous she picks at her nails and tries to remove them.  It really freaks me out!

Touching everything in public restrooms- I don't think I need to explain that one much. winky.gif

We have the full mouth of food one too.  She normally decides to spit a ton of food out into my hand when we've just gotten onto a bus that we need to ride for another 30 min. irked.gif I've learned to ALWAYS carry ziplock bags with me!

My son has taken to putting his hand down his poopy diaper, and with poop covered fingers touch things or even put them in his mouth!

He likes to spit out his water, well rather let it dribble down his chin until his shirt is soaked.

Touches everything in public bathrooms.

Yours too? Have you found anything that helps with this? I feel like I'm constantly yelling at DD to stop touching things. :(

DD thinks the whole table is her plate.  She spits out food that offends her, like across the room, and wipes her dirty hands on anything before she finds a napkin.

She regularly participates in mucophagy and swears by it.

A couple of months ago I caught her routinely puting her finger in her butt to "see if there was any more poop that needed to get out."

spitting. It drives me up a wall, so I institued a new rule-- spitting outside only. (this has worked really well for chalk, and rocks etc).

Well, I must be an idiot, because the next time he wanted to go outside and I wouldn't let him, he started spitting on the kitchen tile right next to the backyard door. not. funny.

She likes to get a mouth full of milk or water and spit it out on the table, then slurp it back up. She'll also spit her drink into her kitchen things (sink, cups, pots/pans, etc) and drink it back out of them.

She also eats her boogers, and has on occasion tried to feed them to me.

DS likes to put his food into his water cup, mix it with whatever utensil is handy, and then drink his meal. Talk about backwash.

DD was outside the other day rolling chicken poop between her fingers, I guess the texture was appealingpuke.gif
