anyone have a good vanilla/white cake recipe?

My son's birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and he wants a "white" cake (basically, not a chocolate one, so a white, yellow, and/or vanilla cake would be fine with him). I'm looking for one that uses a liquid sweetener (honey or maple syrup). The only allergens to avoid is peanut and most tree nuts, although almonds are fine. I've found a few I can try to tweak to see what I can come up with, but if anyone has a tried-and-true recipe, I'd love to have it!

I know you asked for one with a liquid sweetener but this is my favorite white cake recipe, always turns out great - no liquid sweetener though, you may be able to experiment with replacing the sugar though

Thanks for the link! Since I actually needed a cake for today, I ended up playing around with some ingredients and made up my own recipe that turned out pretty tasty!
