help me please

ok so im only 18 years old and im 33 weeks pregnant with my second child. Iv been listening to ppl say its ok to smoke weed during pregnancy then i recently started hearing about drug testing in new borns. i live in indiana and im on medicaide does any body know if im for sure going to get drug tested and if so is there anything i can do to get it out of our system. i have decided to quit weather or not its gonna help. i just dont want to lose my baby! can any one help me please tell me anything you know!

Awww, sweetie, I feel for ya! From what I know, they do test when you deliver and are on medicaid. I have known many, many women who smoke weed during pregnancy and some were on medicaid as well. 

If you quit now, you should be clear for delivery. It will be out of your system in a number of weeks, and it will be okay. Quit now! You can save a little toke for celebration when it is all over. LOL

In Oregon, Alaska, California they only test you at delivery if they have probable cause.  I've known a few people that smoked in pregnancy (and on medicaid) and they were not tested at birth.  I'm sure this varies by state, so you'll have to ask a local medical provider.  I agree with the pp, quit now, so that you don't have to worry either way!  :)

I've seen other threads on the same topic so if you search you can see what other people have said about using marajuana during pregnancy.  I agree with the previous posters though, if you quit now you should have it out of your system by delivery.  Good luck!!

thank you so much i am done until after im not pregnant anymore and im not listening to stupid ppl who dont know what they are talking about anymore. i just was quick to listen cuz im really stressed im 18 on my second and im a senior still in high school getting ready to graduate. me and my boyfriend(both kids father) just moved into an apt. with only his income. i also have bad anxiety and bi polar and i dont want to take pills so i figured it was ok to smoke weed. but then i heard about this and i feel terrible. i will be celebrating afterwards tho for sure, ill call it my graduation party lol thank you so much!!
