dog got bit by something....

at least i think it is a bite......his snout is pretty swollen a little more on one side then the other.  seems a little uncomfortable to him but have not found a wound yet.  he is drinking and eating just fine.  any idea what i can do for him short of taking him in to the vet, just cannot afford that right now especially if there is something i can do for him from home.

Sounds like it could be a bee or wasp sting. My dog got stung in the mouth last summer. I don't recall it swelling, but I saw it happen and she definitely reacted to the sting. I'd probably just keep an eye on it for a day or two and see if the swelling goes down. You could probably use an over-the-counter sting ointment, but if it's within tongue range he'll probably lick it off. You could always google for some natural sting remedies and see if anything works.
