Self destructive toddler

Thread Starter

I'm pretty sure my toddler is convinced he is Superman.  Sadly, he is not quite as invincible.  I was thinking about heading out to go grocery shopping tomorrow until he fell over the babygate he decided to climb, and directly onto his nose.  He now has several nasty bruises in various stages of healing on his face and I'm afraid people will think something terrible.

Please tell me I'm not the only parent with a kid who looks like a prize fighter...

You are not the only parent with a kid who looks like a prize fighter!

My toddler son loves to run and climb too, especially places that are not designated for running and climbing. It's inevitable that a toddler will trip, fall, and get bumps and bruises. Especially little boys. I have a feeling this is only the beginning of a loooooong childhood of scraped knees, bruises, and who knows what.

As long as you are supervising your child to the best of your ability and providing a safe play space to the best of your ability, don't worry.
