overwhelmed and panicky

Thread Starter

just needing to vent a little...i'm 12 weeks expecting twins with an almost 3 year old dd, i work full time at a job i despise, i'm in grad school online that i don't have time for, my husband won't create a budget or financial plan, and i'm too tired to care about cleaning the house although he constantly complains.

i'm not really asking for advice, but any would be welcomed! i'm just sitting here trying to stave off a panic attack. i could have made it work with one baby by cutting a lot of corners, but i don't know what to do with 2.

thanks ladies.

I have definitely had my share of panicky, anxious moments with this pregnancy, too, and I'm not expecting twins (at least not that I know of!).  I totally get your feelings and the need to vent and get support.  Let it out!

Would it be possible to take a break from the online grad work at some point soon?  Is the semester almost over?

Do you have any support in your neighborhood?  Friends or neighbors that could watch your dd while you napped or got some light house work done or balance the check book on the weekend?

How is your dh contributing to the housework?  If you both work fulltime it seems only fair to me that the housework would be divided.  Maybe a frank conversation could be helpful, delineating what each will do so it doesn't pile up and feel overwhelming.

JMO--Dave Ramsey has some great financial tools and simple ways (methods) of putting a financial plan together.

I hope things get better for you soon!

My husband and I were also having financial issues..  We decided to do the Dave Ramsey plan together and it has totally changed our financial outlook and ended all arguments over the matter.  We did Financial Peace Online, which worked well for us.  Good luck.
