What sort of nighttime cloth do you recommend for a mostly potty trained 2yo?

DD has been in sposies since she outgrew her NB cloth diapers--she is in daycare and it just never worked for us.  So now she is 26 months and uses the potty 90% of the time.  She still pees her diaper occasionally at night, but it's never a giant pee.  I want to get her some cloth pull ups (or pull-up equivalents) that she can wear at night so that she doesn't have to wear a "diaper" anymore.   I also want her to be able to wear them when she just doesn't want to use the potty, but i know she's going to go soon (like at 6:30 a.m. when we need to leave the house, but she hasn't gone since 8:00 the night before).

So can you all please recommend some brands/makers of something that would be suitable for overnight?  I'd prefer an AIO, I think--we used BGs when she was tiny, but I wasn't happy with the velcro.  I see that they have onesizes with snaps now.... But would an AIO be too bulky for a kid that is getting used to wearing regular underwear?  And what size would i order?

Please don't refer me to diaperswappers--I've been there but I'm too intimidated, because I don't know the lingo.  I'd really like to just order a half dozen AIO type pullup equivalent from a WAHM or small business.

Sugguestions, please?!  Thanks so much!

FWIW she's smallish--26 mos., 33 inches, 26 lbs. soaking wet.  Wears size 24 mos. or 2t on top; 18 mos. or 24 mos. on the bottom.

Well, we just put our 2 year old dd in a BG OS at night even though she was in panties during the day.  She continued to pee in her diaper occasionally and it was really easy for her take off by herself (b/c of the velcro) if she needed to go without our help.  For a while I thought perhaps she was still peeing at night because she was in a diaper so I switched her to panties at night and she would pee the bed about 3 times a week.  That wasn't working for me, so I put her back in the diaper and by 2.5 she was always dry at night.

But if you don't want to go that route, there are cloth pull ups and trainers available.  Trainers generally have just a small absorbent layer while pull ups are like a diaper, but obviously pull up instead of snap or velcro.  So if she's just a wetting a little bit and then getting to the potty for the rest, a trainer would be great.  But if you want it to be able to catch a full pee then you'll need a diaper or a pull up.  Some brands to look for would be potty patty panties, little beetles, bumwear, and others.  You can often just google "cloth trainer" or "cloth pull up" and you'll find some brands and reviews.  Another option would be to use an insert or a trifolded prefold that you already have with a pull up cover.  There are several brands that make pull up covers including little beetles, bummis, and others.

HTH!  And if you would like some assistance with diaperswappers, just post.  Once you know what you're looking for the lingo isn't so bad and there are several acronym files you can reference.  smile.gif
