I am an old poster who left about a year and a half ago. My DDC ladies were sweet and I had a miscarriage and started posting in other areas and got about 3 warnings for ridiculous things (one was just because I used one of the "yeah that" smilies to someone that apparently a mod didn't like their content. This was not a fun place to be.

I am pregnant again and decides to check out my DDC since there isn't any other forum on the internet that the natural focus that Mothering does. I've been reading the DDC but am surprised how few posts there are. Shocked really. DDC's are usually booming here.

I am glad to hear that the moderation style has changed, so I think I will stick around for a bit to see if I would like to come back. I don't have the magazine anymore so I miss my fix of all parenting things natural. smile.gif (and not sure I am a fan yet of the replacement magazine. Wasn't wowed by the first issue)

I am disappointed in this new format. Almost half of my iPad screen is ads. orngtongue.gif I'll have to go peruse and see if the paid subscription still exists that would get of the ads for you know, CRYSTAL LIGHT! Seriously, there was an ad for a highly processed, artifical sugar, powdered drink on this site. Bizarre! The ads uses to be great as they were for all natura products, homemade things, natural services, etc.

ETA: and apparently my siggy is all screwed up since the format change and all my cute smilies are gone. greensad.gif I'll have to fix that. And boy was it a long wait to get the edit box...

It is wicked difficult to post a reply here on my ipad. Maybe that is why the traffic is so much lower here ... We've all become lurkers rather than posters because we all now read mdc on our devices ...

It's scary to see so few posts here. I have really relied on mdc thru the entire first 5 years of my kids lives. I could not have made it without the league of women here.

I also find the websitetakes ages to load and navigate ...

Is there an mdc app that would make this easier on the ipad?

Thank you.

I'm using Tapatalk as well (Thanks again for the rec Drummer's Wife!) and it runs much more smoothly and quickly. One of only two apps I've ever paid for and it was absolutely worth it. It works on tons of forums, too. It was $4, I think. (Going by my poor memory though! Don't quote me. lol.gif)

Hi,

So there is no "app" or device version of MDC, but you can order TapaTalk (an app) that will help navigate the MDC website when you are on an iPad or iPhone?

Now, I order that from ... the apple store?

thank you!

You purchase it in the iOS app store. Directly from your iOS device or through iTunes.

The whole site feels like I'm on dial-up.  I am a long-time member (not as verbose as some of the other ones, lol) and I stuck around shortly after the big change, but tried to come back this week, and I just don't know if it's worth it to sit and wait for the page to load, only to find out that, sadness, there are no new posts in my subscriptions after all.

I got Tapatalk from the Apple app store, but there is also a version for Android devices. Let me grab the Tapatalk link -

Can we just delete all of her posts? She's ridiculous and I'd hate for someone to stumble in here and take it seriously.

The posts were deleted and the member was banned. Are you still seeing posts by her?
