this is another 'is this normal' question. dd is 18 mos and talks about the potty and associated functions ALOT. a whole lot. she tells us when she has pooped, just not usually beforehand. but she talks about it when she hasn't, too.Â
and she started talking about the potty a long time ago, which is why we thought to go ahead and start learning. she will sit there happily and dh has apparently taught her what noises to make while sitting there 
, but she's only used it for its intended purpose twice.
i've worked with preschoolers for whom i know potty talk is normal, but.. wow.Â
