I think his new haircut looks great!  He'll be happy not to have the hair on his face and neck.  Did you do it yourself?  I had that straight, wispy hair as a child and it took my mom FOREVER to cut it!  (Then, when she had lots of experience, she took my baby sister to the salon, lol!)
