Car sickness

My mini poodle pukes in the car and we have a 1700 mile trip coming up..are there any meds we can give him? Any tips?

My MIL would give their golden chamomile.  I googled homeopathic remedies for anxiety and found this page.

There is a medication called Cerenia that your vet can prescribe.  Our new puppy gets sick every time she rides in the car, and we have a 450 mile trip coming up at the end of May.  My cousin has a masters in veterinary medicine and she suggested the same med.  It lasts for 24 hours, so for us one pill each way would work.  It's prescribed based on weight, so just have your vet weigh your dog and then they should be able to give him/her the right dose.  ;)  Good luck and have a safe trip!!  :)
