I have had a Select Brands cooker for a couple years now. The company says the insert does NOT contain lead. Of course, the insert fell on the floor and broke. I can get a new one.

I just saw a Hamilton Beach cooker (sale ends today so I might get it anyways, can return if I change my mind) that is a bit bigger with a few more options. I called the company yesterday and the could not say for sure if it contains lead and said if it does it's at or below FDA levels. Ugh.

If my original truly has no lead, I would rather just just a new insert for it. What do you think? Should I believe Select Brands?Â
