yikes.gif  I'm not that old, 37, but my knees and feet already hurt regularly.  What will I do without my ibuprofen?  I weigh about what I weighed when I delivered dd2.

I'm sort of in denial...  little excited, but mostly overwhelmed by the challenges I'll be facing.  Oh god, maternity clothes..  pumping at work..  I'm not sure I can do it again.  I loved being pregnant the first 2 times...  hoping I can enjoy it this time.

I wonder if my midwife would even come all the way down here...  oh I hope she will.  *just keep breathing*

Hugs mama!  You *will* be okay!  You might just be surprised by how much your older kiddos are able to help out.  Isn't Tylenol okay?

Thanks, there is always Tylenol, maybe it will help enough.  I remember how I felt so healthy during my pregnancies.  Alysson is worried that the baby will make too much noise.  I told her my little sister was born when I was 7 and I don't remember missing any sleep ever.

You'll do great! Just had my 3rd (I'm almost 35) and my 2 girls are 6 and 8. I ended up being glucose intolerant this time, so was on a super high protein, lower carb, lots of veggies diet through the whole 3rd trimester. Once I was on that, and walking 30 min a day, I actually felt better than I have for a couple of years! I started out heavier this time than ever before.

My girls are amazingly sweet and big helpers so for (we're only 6 days into this grand adventure).

Congrats! smile.gif

Oh, and the first tri is always about denial to me - planned or unplanned. I spend 3 months (especially this time, as I was promoted to a higher position 3 days after I tested positive and was already working around 60 hrs/wk) freaking out then generally find acceptance late in the 2nd tri. My mom tells me every time that's why pregnancy is 40 weeks long wink1.gif

Oh I hope I don't develope glucose intolerence.  I'm worried about that and my blood pressure, though I've always had low BP, unsure what its like currently.  So far the worst thing is this nasal congestion, I assume, due to increased blood volume..  so that gets my thinking about my BP.

I'm in the same boat. Just found out we're expecting #3. I just lost a good amount of the weight I gained with the first 2, got rid of my plantar facitis, and was beginning to feel like I could do things independently. Not sure how we're going to tell the boys or any of a dozen different issues. While not planned we're happy just a little surprised.

We'll all make it through. I know I just need some time to let it settle in.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm only 30 but FEEL older than ever! I'm heavier than I've ever been, also the same weight as when I delivered #2. I'm nervous about the weight.

I too am "old" I'll be 35 when this babe is born.  Totally took me by surprise.  I'm in the middle of desperately trying to lose the last 15 lbs I was hanging onto from dd.  My knees and back are in constant pain.  Being pregnant isn't going to help that!  I gave away all my baby stuff.  I have to start all over.  But we can do it mama.  We have each other!!!  LOL.  I do love MDC.

I quit my regular ibuprofen and only occasionally take tylenol and I am so suprised that my knees and feet are actually hurting less.  I'm not sure if its the pregnancy or what, but I feel much less pain than I expected.

My chiropractor is so awesome and my midwife, too.  When I told them my fears they both assured me that I had little to fear.  Both assured me that women in their 30s are normally best suited for pregnancy and labor.  My chiropractor said his own mother had all 3 of her children in her 40s.  I'm so glad they both support me and believe in my ability to do this with ease.

We've had the same experience, then! I'm 33 and have chronic lower back pain. Nothing too serious, but I'd be really sore and stiff in the morning, enough to need to do some good stretches/walk it off on a good day or take Advil on a bad day... but I just realized a few days ago that the pain is gone! I'm going to ask the midwife about it, to see if she has an explanation.

I wonder if it could be a result of the hormone Relaxin
