almost 10 yo DS still not retracted

Reassure me, or not. 

My ds, 10, is still not retracted, he can retract barely over the tip but that is it. He has NEVER had a single problem with infection, utis, ballooning, redness, etc. 

Anyone know an average age of retraction and what I can be on the look out for?

I believe the average age of retraction is 10.5 and that it can happen for the first time well into the teen years.  So from my impression, he is totally normal :)

I wouldnt worry.Get the Whole Network do not retract pack, 10 dollars. It has info abotu tthis. It says some men are past teen years or do not ever retract and that is fine too. I didnt realize this.:) Also, be cautious bc doctors may try to retract him or may try to suggest something inappropriate. I know he is fine. He is protected still be his foreskin.:)

No worries it will happen when his body gives the signal. I would expect that when the hormones start during puberty is when things will start to happen.

It's perfectly fine that he isn't retractable yet.  Just make sure that you keep the lines of communication open with him, so that if he is still not retractable in a few more years and is bothered by it, he will talk to you about it.  The main concern would be that someone might think that he has a problem and convince him he needs to be circ'd.

Your son is perfectly fine. As a PP pointed out, in non circumcising nations the average age of retraction is 10 1/2.  They don't worry about this at all.  This whole notion that a foreskin must be retractable by a certain age is a function of the ignorance of normal anatomy that sadly pervades our medical system.

On an anecdotal note, one of my nephews was about 14 when his foreskin spontaneously became retractable.
