Ok, I found this on-line, and thought it would be important to share within our community.

We had been given the generic version of prevacid back in January, instead of the name brand, and tried it.  Some of the problems we had were that it was clumping up and not dissolving in the water, or it was always clogging up the syringe tips.  (Young infant, who gets 1 15 mg tablet dissolved in 5 mls of water, then given 2 ml of the solution.)  I complained to the pharmacy about it, but because the Ped didn't specifically write those instructions down on the new RX (had been on it for 3 months at this point and had to get it renewed), they said you are SOL and we cannot even give you any advice on the problem.  We stopped using it, and went to a pharmacy where they didn't have the generic in yet.
