Keep 2yo with familiar day home mama OR with sister? Can't do both.

I'm switching DD into different care this fall to accommodate kindergarten.  The day home I'm interviewing this afternoon actually has space for DS too.

I feel bad pulling him from the day home and day home mama he loves, but I also hate to see a brother and sister separated so young.  DS has been much more chill about going into care than DD was, and while part of it is probably being the second kid, I think it helps that he has his big sis with him wherever he goes.

Here's the part I feel guilty about...the current day home is on my drive to work and we share a car (DH walks) so the dropoffs and pickups are all me.  The new day home is on a convenient bus route so DH can handle some of the transportation.  If I put both kids in the new day home it would work out really well for ME.  How selfish is that :(

Why is that selfish? I wouldn't really consider putting kids in different daycares. That just sounds like PITA.

Yeah I got over it lol.gif  I hate the thought of transitioning my kids but this has to happen.  When I started looking at schools last year it basically threw a giant wrench into everything.  Now I'm embracing it... DD is registered, we have childcare spaces, and our apartment is listed so we can get a townhouse in the neighborhood.

While it's a little bit sad that it's my life dream to not do both the drop-off and the pickup every single day, the dream will soon be realized!!!
