worried.....need encouragement and prayers

So I'm almost 7 weeks.....

last night I found dried brown discharge on my panties....

looked it up and discovered this is very common, though I'd never had it before in my previous 3 pregnancies.  So I called dh at work (he's an ER doc) and he confirmed....told me to take it easy just in case....so I went to bed.  There was nothing this morning but when I got to church, I went to the bathroom and discovered a red color mixed in with a mucusy discharge.....so I've been worrying ever since.  It's not a lot...but still there....constant but not a lot in amount.  I'm thinking I should go into the ER tonight when DH goes to work to get a blood test....I sort of 'feel' okay...besides being worried...but I do have a bit of soreness in my lower back side.....feels like a pulled muscle....

anyone have experience with this?  I'd love to hear about POSITIVE outcomes......my friend at church said she did bleed with her 3rd child and everything was fine....

Hugs, Mama.  I've been there before, and I'm there again right now too.  I bled lightly/spotted and cramped from weeks 6 through 13 with DS who is now three.  I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant again, and same thing.  There was no explanation last time.  This time I have had an ultrasound and have a subchorionic hematoma causing the bleeding.  Apparently one can bleed a great deal, even gush, and have the baby be perfectly fine.  That is probably not what is going on for you because I think only 1-2% of people experience it, but it might be worth having an ultrasound done.  I'm sure with an ER doctor DH you'll be in good hands.  Sending prayers your way... Hang in there.

Thanks.

The bood levels were 1583.  This is apparently good....but not high enough to ensure they would see anything on an ultrasound....so we are going to wait a couple of days and retake the blood test to make sure the levels are going up rather than down.

So in the meantime, I rest and I'm supposed to try to laugh (dh/doc orders....to keep my mood up)  I shall try, but in the meantime....prayers are most welcome.

:( cramping......

I was going to post that spotting and even bleeding can be totally normal.  I spotted off and on with my first, but not with either of my other two.  I was also going to say try not to worry as long as you're not also cramping...

I hope it's nothing more than those normal "under construction" pains and that your bleeding does not increase.  Sending sticky thoughts your way!  goodvibes.gif  and hug2.gif

sending sticky baby vibes goodvibes.gif

with DD I did have occasional spotting throughout the first trimester, and did have some mild cramping from about 4-8 weeks on and off. with DS I didn't have any bleeding, but did have mild cramping again.

I hope everything is OK. I had spotting for weeks with both kids, and everything was fine.

Going for the second blood test today and praying that numbers have INcreased....if so, we'll try the ultrasound.  The bleeding isn't better, but it's not worse....the cramping is really really mild and only felt once in awhile....less than a period would be for me.
