is it worth it to buy a gypsy mama stretchy wrap?

with dd 1 i borrowed a moby-type sling for those newborn months. it was some knock-off brand that is no longer in business. i'm due end of may and with a toddler to take care of i anticipate really needing to wear the new kid this time around. i did prefer the stretchy wrap for the beginning although i can't use it for that long because i have a horrible back, it's hard for me to babywear, and once the weight goes up, the stretch is just too much for me. i switch to a mei tai after that.

so that said, with having a summer baby and wanting to use a stretchy wrap for a few months...is it worth it to spend a considerable chunk of change on a gypsy stretchy wrap? is it really that much thinner than a moby? i've also heard they have less stretch and are somewhat between a gauze and a moby.

(i would love to do gauze but i'm too chicken to tie one. also, i do need to pop in and out more often because of the back issues.)

The Wrapsody Baby Bali Stretch is more cost effective than a typical stretch knit wrap. As it is more supportive.

You will be able to wear your newbie for longer (both age wise, and hour wise), and the wrapsody is cooler than the moby, so I would go for it.

Oh yes, it feels wonderful and I liked it even with my DD who was about 20 pounds at the time I tried it. I wish I could justify buying one for the summer, the patterns are beautiful and it would be so much cooler.

You'll love it! I used mine for the first 4 months with ds2 and then off and on for the first year. He's 1 now and I still wear it sometimes. It's super comfy!
