What is growing on my marjoram?

Hello - I'm not really a gardener, but I assume this is a weed and not part of my marjoram.  Do I need to rip out the plant?  This is not growing anywhere else in my herb garden.http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1db20b3127ccefd5699e6bd1300000030O18AasmjZk5ZtQe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D1/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a1db20b3127ccefd569f3bbdcd00000030O08AasmjZk5ZtQe3nw8/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/

It looks like it may be a species of cuscuta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuscuta) I suggest getting rid of it because if it is cuscuta, it will spread and become nearly uncontrollable.

Thank you!  I'm ripping it out as soon as I get home.

So far, it only was on the marjoram thank goodness.  Eeep!
