New thread loods great, Rosie!  Thanks for starting it.

Northstar - Looking for an update!!!  Taken any other tests???  Got any OPKs in the house?  They can be positive if pregnant, too (but be warned, they aren't as reliable).  I'm an enabler, I want you to pee on something!  :)

I used  a blue dye test with reliability but only when dipping not peeing directly on it.  Every time I peed directly on it the whole spot went blue and tricked me!  Good luck!

Thanks for the thread Rosie!

Love the title and look of the new thread, Rosie!  Thanks for being the May Thread Queen.

Northstar, let me add another yeahthat.gif to Val's comment.

I'm here, not posting much since there won't be any "trying" for me this cycle, but reading along.  I've been having a hard time since DH left.  I feel depressed and very lonely. gloomy.gif

Can you add my fertility friend link to my chart on the list at the beginning?  It does seem that I had a "rise" in temp today.  Not sure how long this cycle is going to last with having EWCM last week on CD21 and all.  Maybe another 2 weeks?  Any chart stalkers out there?

Lilac: I sneaked a peek at your chart, if your numbers keep going up then that would look good. They do seem to be rising. "Typically" your post O temps will be higher than your pre-o's so yours should continue to climb. Everyone's different though so it's hard to say, and lots of things can throw your temps off. Do you usually have long cycles?

Hi guys, Rosie, thanks for the new thread!

Caly, huggy huggy! hug2.gifI am sorry you are sad.  I think it will pass.

Everyone else...love you.  Feeling really poopy coming up to O time.  DP being a butthead and impending SA on the 13th.  Just crabby.

Hi friends.. Sorry I've been MIA.. and THANK YOU ROSIE - for starting the new thread!  Boots, you did a wonderful job making it look perfect!!

Caly.. I'm sorry your husband is gone.  It makes me really sad.  You can come hang out with me and my DH (although, he's not getting anyone pregnant.. lol)... I know you must feel lonely hug2.gif

Tank.. so glad to see you!  Hope you are feeling well..

What's up Northstar - can we celebrate?  I surly hope so!

Ram - glad that you're up and running again.. I have a friend that has three all from one tube.. so go catch that eggie!!

Lilac - if there is EWBJ.. then get to BDing.. that's my advice.

Cath.. my DH was totally freaked doing the SA.. so just keep stroking his ego.  But also remind him he has to give it all he's got!!  I don't know if they gave you any advice but here's mine.  HAVE HIM PRACTICE FIRST.  My DH was sort of weirded out by the whole process and he could barely get any to go.  Now, he's been practicing so he could give a good sample for the actual time for fertilization and the results were much better.  Also, don't do anything two days before so that there is a little build up but not too much.  Too much and the swimmers are too crowded, too little and his results will be skewed.  So you're getting ready to O.. good time for practice.  :)

I love all of you.. sorry I was MIA. I'm just sitting here waiting, hoping to start the process again on Friday.. but I haven't had positive ovulation.. I dunno.. I'm just ready to go.  Just implant a baby now!  LOL!!

Hello everyone,

I've been reading these threads for a few weeks now, and I would very much like to join the fun.  :)  My DH and I have been TTC since February.  Honestly I thought we'd get it on the first try---why, I have no idea.  Needless to say, these past few months have been very educational and I'm somewhat obsessed with TTC now.  I've been charting for a few months and everything looks great---which is why I find myself getting frustrated.  DH is supportive but I don't want to share my TTC with others just yet.

Does anyone have suggestions for helping me produce more EWCM?  We use Pre-Seed, but I'm not sure about what else actually works.

You all seem like the nicest, most educated group of ladies I've found (and believe me---I've been researching like crazy!!).

Hi pitchounette! Welcome! I will add to the first page as soon as I figure out what is going on with this thread. They say grapefruit juice and/or cough syrup works. Grapefruit juice I dunno why (PH levels?), and cough syrup because it thins all kinds of mucous in the body (I *think*?). Sorry I don't have more details on hand! Cristini, a graduate, swore by her grapefruit juice and PreSeed.

All - I broke the thread! The very beautiful and nifty thread that boots wrote awesome instructions for! I fiddled with the code a little bit (NOT part of the instructions) and really broke it. Each time I click the edit button my browser crashes. It's kind of nuts. I could start a new page (or someone else, since I obviously have a black thumb when it comes to threads!), or we could wait to see whether an admin can fix it...

Caly - :hugs Can you forecast how the timing might be when he returns for break? Did you save any of the links you found when searching for info about freezing sperm? I'm just curious. DH just told me he's going out of town the day of my expected O this cycle. I said "I hope I O on time" and he suggested we save a little batter for the baster-method.

Northstar come back! I hope your absence is a happy signal!

Cathe - When is O-time?

Lilac- I'll add your chart as soon as I figure out the thread.

Hi Boots, Taxi, Birdie! I gotta get back to homework.

Okay, Rosie, hope you get it figured out.  Been kind of quiesy the last two mornings.  I don't think I am pregnant but it just seems weird.

Hi ladies!

Taxi - Glad to see you again!  I was wondering where you disappeared to.  I hope you O soon so you can get started with you next cycle and get your little one implanted!

Caly - hug2.gif  Lots of hugs for you!  When will DH be back for a visit?

Cath - hug2.gif  Hugs for you too!  I hope DH will be good with the SA and everything will check out okay.  I totally understand men being resistant to that - I know my DH was.  In fact, I never got DH to do one, despite having an order on file for over three months before we got pregnant.  Why are men so stubborn??

Pitchounette - Welcome!  I hope your stay here is short and successful.  As for EWBJ - one of the best things you can do is make sure you are drinking enough water.  I aimed for 100 ounces per day in the last few months of TTC, and it seemed to help the fluid levels.  Good luck!

Rosie - The thread still looks great!  I wouldn't have known it was broken if you hadn't told us.  Are you sure that you broke it, though?  Since a recent update, I've been having issues with other MDC stuff - i.e. editing signatures, replying to PM, changing profile pics.  Maybe editing posts is included??  Just a thought.  Good luck at getting it fixed!

Thanks for the suggestions, Rosie and Val!  I will definitely try the grapefruit juice, and of course keep drinking lots of water.  I've even considered giving up coffee and/or Diet Coke... I only drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning, and about a half glass of DC in the afternoon.  My doctor says that amount of caffeine shouldn't be a problem, but who knows?  I've also been trying to eat more sweet potatoes (peel, slice, roast in oven with a bit of olive oil and sea salt---YUM) for fertility.

I've been charting for about 3 months and so far I think it helps me see the whole picture. (I'll try posting my chart but so far it doesn't look quite right when I click to link it.)  I'm also doing OPKs and everything seems to coincide with my BBT.  So I guess we'll just keep trying.smile.gif

Thanks to everyone for the hugs and sympathy.  DH will be back for a visit on June 10.  I am literally counting the days (37).   I'll be flying to California to meet him, then we'll drive back to Ohio.  His parents are giving us a car.  It's fallout from their recent divorce, but hey - a free car is a free car, and as DH said, it's his reward for putting up with their bad behavior.  I should O at least once, possibly twice, before he heads back to Alaska in late July.

Welcome Pitchounette!

Birdie and Val, it's good to see your tickers moving along...smile.gif  Fingers crossed for everyone else!  fingersx.gif

pitchounette.  I swear musinex helped me get pregnant both times.  It increases the EWCM.  I didn't take it as an aid though I really had a bad cold both times!  Weird huh?

Oh Caly.. that is great news with a new car (insert bob barker's voice)!

So I'm having a bad allergy attack which brings me to Tank's comment (by the way.. good to see you Tankerino).. So many people have had colds when they conceived or recently after the fact.  From what I know about the immune system (from my Crohn's disease) maybe this is a good thing.  First of all, with a cold you have to slow down a bit (that's good) and your immune system is concentrating on the symptoms of the cold instead of the foreign thing in your uterus.  SO in the cases of using mucinex, I think it's almost two fold.. you're thinning out your mucus and you're giving your system a rest while it concentrates on getting you well.  I cannot tell you how many people have actually told me they thought it was the cold that was keeping AF at bay.. only to find out they were pregnant.  GOOD LUCK... to all..

I have an appointment tomorrow to check on the ovulation.  If I ovulated I get to start the cycle of suppression.. if I haven't I'm not sure what happens.. I just hope we can start.  I think my baby is ready to visit.  love.gif

XOXOXOXOXO to all of you.. taxi

I had a friend tell me that getting pregnant was the best thing for her health - she was really sick with hepatitis, then got pregnant and the hepatitis was "cured" because the immune system overdrive from pregnancy.  Right now I am dealing with allergies and I hate it.  I don't want to take too much anti-histamines because it dries up CM but the sneezing and runny nose is for the birds.
