Wound up in ER Thursday.

I've been very nauseous, but had only thrown up a couple times. Tuesday night Dh and I had a large dinner out, and I threw up as soon as we got home. Then again the next morning on the way to our first prenatal. Didn't think anything of it, so told the Dr that was the nausea was fine. Had to stop at a gas station on the way home and threw up again. By Thursday, I had still kept nothing but bread or crackers down. And drinking anything that isn't fizzy (i.e., soda) was making me throw up instantly. When Dh got home at midnight from work I left him with the girls and headed to the ER for fluids. The doctor was a jerk and acted like I was a drug seeker for asking for IV fluids and Zofran! The nurse, however, was a sweetheart, got my IV started on the first time even with me being so dehydrated! She brought in their very old portable ultrasound machine and had me time the clock so she could count the heartbeat (and the doctor told her it was too soon to see the hb on ultrasound, and she'd be better off using a doppler, so clearly he knew nothing  of pregnancy!).

I got a dx of HEG, sent home with 20 Zofran. Yesterday was the first time since Tuesday that I had eaten anything but crackers and bread. And I did keep it down, but the nausea is still really severe, even with the Zofran.
