Nursing Mamas TTC May - Page 2

Count me in too please!  DD is nearly 13 months old and nurses all night long.  I haven't seen a PPAF yet, and truth be told, I don't expect to until we nightwean - which will be many months to come, perhaps as much as a year.  DH and I are not actively TTC, nor am I temping or charting, but I AM hoping to see my fertility return soon as I am very ready to be pregnant again!  Wish us luck.

Can I join y'all? I just had my 1st pp cycle.. My baby will be 12 months on the 17th. I am using the clearblue fertility monitor. It's Day 8 of my cycle today..Not sure if I am ovulating yet or just having anovulatory cycles? Usually I won't ovulate until my baby isn't nursing much at night and my baby still is.. There are longer periods some days that we go without nursing though and I believe that's why my cycle has returned so becuz of that I may be ovulating..Anyway i guess I will know more further on in this cycle..

Hi All!

Bugglette, please move me to 2WW and cross your fingers that I had an egg this month... labs should be back by Friday.

Mommy2Lexilivy -- I'm an NP, too.  Been doing the SAHM job though.

I'd also love to learn more about Billings or Creighton.  Can't seem to find a definitive book or online course, though.  Anyone know of resources?  It's said to be effective in breastfeeding and perimenopause.

Best of luck to all this month!

Bugglette, it's true that we're all ovulating together, that's why the thread was so quiet for a while! :) It's about to get hopping with 2WW fever though!

Hoping you dropped an egg jaronsmom, let us know when the labs come back!

Welcome to the 2 new mamas!

Need your advice!

My temp did not go up much again today. However, I had a positive opk, lots of ewcm, high and soft cervix, sore nipples and cramping that all lined up together to indicate O. DD has been waking every hour....sometimes more often in the mornings.....should I ignore my temps and assume I O'd when I think I did?? I'm not sure I trust my temps with how often DD is waking me up. I don't actually get out of bed when she wakes (we co-sleep) but there is lots of tossing and turning and moving around. I also wondered if my thermometer wasn't working properly because it's so old.....

Hello, Ladies!  :)

I am four months pp and ready to conceive again.  My DD has been sleeping through the night since 7 1/2 weeks so I decided to start temping again (I temped for 13 months prior to getting pregnant with DD) but when I found my temps incredibly low, I sort of gave up after a couple of days assuming it would be a while before O and AF decided to show since I am BF exclusively.  I started having tons of sticky CM two days ago and thought maybe I was gearing up to O.  I used an OPK and it was negative and my BBT for two days stayed low...96.7.  YIKES!  LOL!

Anyway, today I was surprised and thrilled (never thought I'd say that) to find AF had arrived when I went to the bathroom.  I'd like to be added to Waiting to O.

I used this site a ton over 21 months TTC my first and it was such a help and encouragement.

I'm not an expert...but (1) I think your temp would be higher because of the wakefulness and moving around if it was being affected. (2) It may take one more day to see a rise in your temp?? maybe?

LOL. I don't sound very helpful!

Hi Ladies!

So I have no idea why this site is doing this? Promotion maybe? But my girlfriend just sent me a link to a website called "SevenSlings.com". They are having a Mother's Day promo where you enter the promo word "MOTHER" and you get a free baby sling. You need to pay for shipping, however. She has one and really likes it. I ordered two of them!

Just thought this was too crazy of a deal to not share with you ladies. They are literally giving them away. :)

Also if you want to order two at no cost you have to open up another window to order the second one. I did this and got the two free, minus shipping costs!

Enjoy.

Also I realize this has nothing to do with nursing and ttc. :) Just keeping myself occupied while I wait for O!

Hi Mamas!

I've been taking a break from temping and monitoring all of my signs for a while.  Thus, the lack of posts from my end!

Congrats to the BFPs in late April and early May!!!

AFM, I am on my fourth (?) week of taking some different supplements that are supposed to help my LSH/FSH to be in sync.  Hopefully, by June, I will have a PPAF (which will make DS 2yrs5months).  Yesterday I had EW and a fertile CP, so maybe, just maybe, this is it.

Does anyone know if any of these fertility inhancers (maca, vitex, etc.) have been know increase twin births?  Just curious...

sraplayas: The only supplement that I have heard of that increases chances of multiples is Wild Yam. However, Vitex is called the "natural" form of Clomid so maybe? I haven't read that it does, but I know for sure Clomid increases the chances! Sorry if this wasn't too helpful! Yam for sure though does!

That's what I keep reading, yes. So, I'm not sure why my temp is so low! It dropped even lower today. Maybe I'm just having an anovulatory cycle and need to accept that. It's just odd because I've never had one.

finsmom--thanks for your feedback.  I'm taking a progesterone (Now) creme and it contains the Wild Yam.  No longer taking Vitex.  Just wondering.  DD keeps asking if she can have twin baby sisters and since we would ultimately like four little ones it made me wonder "what if?"  ha ha.  I will be thankful for just one at this point as it has been so hard to jumpstart PPAF!

I just ordered one of those slings... with a matching bracelet. The 2WW is tough. It's cycle day 23 and I've got 24 hours of what I hope is implantation spotting.  I did "sperm meets egg" plan this month and feel pretty hopeful.  Waiting to hear about the labs still.  I tested (again) today and still BFN.  I should wait until 15 days after +OPK but alas, I am not patient.  Anyone have a favorite 2WW pastime?  I'm fanatically organizing toys and rotating out the heavy winter gear.  I really have to keep occupied.

oooh... slings... I have so many carriers though I really shouldn't. bag.gif
I was going to start temping again and forgot that my thermometer is out of battery. Doh! I'll start tomorrow. I'm CD 6 and looks like I may be going from the AF spotting straight to EWCM. headscratch.gif I'm going to order maca again soon. I took it last time and DS happened. orngbiggrin.gif

Carmen - I often get a temperature dip the day after O. Then it goes up. However, I also get delayed O if I have sex a few days before it was supposed to happen. Then it gets delayed by a week. It partially explains why it took us over 2 years to conceive #1, the rhythm method wouldn't work for us.

My favorite 2WW activity is POAS of course run.gif (ok, partially kidding) - cleaning and yoga help.

Updated to here!

1stTimeMama4-4-10 - WELCOME!!  GL!

Batia - WELCOME!!  I hope you're O'ing!

jaronsmom - Hopefully an eggy showed up for the party!  FX for good results on the labs.

carmen358 - Judging by your chart, it looks like your body geared up to O, but it didn't actually happen for some reason.  Maybe stress, or slightly increased prolactin levels.  I know for me, personally, my body will keep trying until it happens, with no break-through bleeding.  So maybe you will O soon, without having to start at CD1 again.

GrapesBunch - WELCOME!!  Did you happen to use an OPK on you r low temp days??  I would venture to guess it was your dip before O, my temp dipped to 96.4 just before my O last cycle.

jaronsmom - GL!!  I always do inordinate amounts of internet reasearch on whatever subject I'm inpatient about, lol...I also find that spending lots of time out of the house helps, or if I hear of a REALLY good book I haven't read, I'll try to read.

AFM:  No temp spike yet, despite a few pre-O symptoms.  My temps are actually less erratic the last few days, which I think is a good sign?

OMG I got a BFP this morning! I thought it might be one yesterday, but it was almost imaginary-looking. Tested again this morning and it's light, but definitely there! So I guess yesterday's was a positive at 11 DPO!

Congrats Lactatinggirl!!! Hope you have a wonderful pg! ...and I guess I'll be joining you in the DDC, because I got a BFP, too! It took 6 different tests (as in I tested too early), but I got a + yesterday at 18 dpo. I had almost given up hope, and just chalked it up to my cycles being irregular, still. But, I still had a couple of tests left, and I bought way too many groceries (I usually stick to my list) yesterday; I thought it was strange that I wanted so much food! Sheepish.gif

You can also order a free nursing cape from Udder Covers using this code. Most were on backorder when I ordered but I got it within 2-3 weeks. :)
