January 2012 Babies!! - Page 3

I just posted yesterday to the 'HOW ARE YOU FEELING LIST' but I am new to the list--so i figured I would introduce myself here as well.

By my calculations, I conceived between April 18-20 and the first day of my last period was April 4th, so that brings me to a January 10 due date and concludes that I am about 4 weeks 6 days pregnant--right?

I am pretty certain I am pregnant, as I tested twice last week (27+28 days of my cycle) and got a faint pink line and then again two days ago and yesterday and the line got darker-but still not really dark.I want to try to go for a blood test next week week.  I feel like my husband and I wont TOTALLY come to grips with the fact that this is happening until we get the blood tests back.  This was our first month trying after much anticipation.

How am I feeling?Well...VERY excited, but nervous.  My boobs hurt and I have little sharp pains in my lower stomach and some twinges in my back every so often.  Staying hopeful, although slightly nervous about having a first child who is also a capricorn (as am I)...and various other things that I wont mention at this time.

I have been lurking around these community boards for a while and am happy to be posting for the first time.

Sending everyone good vibes.

Hi all!  Got a BFP this morning at 10dpo!  I am feeling very excited, but also very, very cautious b/c I have been spotting since 8dpo and I am worried about an early m/c.  So, I wasn't sure whether or not to even post on the boards yet. . .but I do love the support of MDC DDCs!

So I really, really hope to be sticking around here with you all.  I have one son, 19mo, born at home. I loved my HB and can't wait to do it again!  We are still BFing and have been TTC for 5 months, but I figured it wouldn't happen b/c he still nurses quite a lot and that has kept my LP short. . .which is also why I worry about the spotting.

Anyway. .. it sure was exciting to see those two lines at 4am this morning!

Hey I recognize you from the Nursing Mamas TTC thread! :-P

I spotted from 6 DPO until 10 DPO. Decided it must have been implantation spotting. I was talking to a friend and she said that it can happen for a couple days after the baby has actually implanted. Don't remember her reasoning why though.

Hi! Yeah, I recognized you too. . .and a few other mamas here. Yay!!!  I'm sure I'll be looking for support from fellow nursing mamas.

If I can ask though, what was your spotting like?  If mine was only brown, I wouldn't worry, but to see little splashes of bright red on the panty-liner is very very unnerving.  It hasn't been that much, but enough to scare me.  Well, I am trying to just relax and trust in my body right now. But it's nice to hear other stories of similar!

I think Carolyn was over there, too! Have you guys had any sore nipple issues? Mine are a little bit tender when DS nurses, but not too bad. I also think my supply has dipped, but since DS is feeling better (the teeth are mostly poked through the gums, and he's not sick anymore), it hasn't seemed to bother him any.

I had some first trimester bleeding with DS, and it was so scary. I had a subchorionic (spl?) bleed. dust.gif and prayers for you!!

#2 is coming around Jan 19.  I think I'm 12 dpo.  Had a very faint positive on 10 dpo, and a much darker one today!  Yay!

I have a 25 month old DS who is still nursing.

I'm very excited!

Hey, we're DDC buddies again!!  Congrats on your BFP! joy.gif

I hate all the worries that come with early pregnancy for those of us who have had early m/c.  I don't think I ever really believe I'm pregnant until I hear a heartbeat.  Try to think positive, though, since spotting is pretty common in the first few weeks.

Its so much fun to see familiar mommas! I was on the nursing ttc but was also in the sept 09 ddc!

Yay!  So much fun to see familiar Sept '09 mamas!  I actually didn't participate much on the nursing while TTC, my cycles were not back to normal and I thought it would take much longer to get pg. . .but I'm happily surprised.

And my tests this morning were darker and I haven't had any spotting today (so far). . .so it's starting to feel a little real. wow.  I'm so excited to be pg and have a HB again!

Oh, and my EDD is 1/20/12  love.gif  I was charting so I know exactly when I ovulated, which is kinda fun since I only had a general idea with DS.

Honestly I wish I would have known to check the color. I just recorded spotting, when, and how much. I think it was red and brown though. Mostly brown I'd say. My friend said it should basically go brown-red-brown because the red is while the egg is burrowing in deep.

I have MEGA sore nipples. They're fine when I'm not nursing, but while she's nursing the whole time they hurt. I also think my supply dipped because she's not going back to sleep when she nurses and she wants to stay on forever.

DD wasn't planned, so it's really weird for me too to know exactly when I ovulated. It'll be nice though to have a correct estimation date rather than one that's a week early (in my case).

I can't believe it, but my husband and I got pregnant on our very first try! I was sooooo not expecting it to happen so quickly, but I cannot wait! We conceived on Easter Sunday and I found out on Mother's Day. According to the due date calculators online, I'm due Jan. 15. Yay!

I'm slightly worried because I've experienced mild to moderate cramping since the day we conceived, and they have lasted a little over two weeks. I'm going to ask my doctor about it at my appointment next Wednesday, but I'm just wondering if any of you have experienced this. I don't really have any other noticeable symptoms other than that and being more tired than usual. I don't have any spotting or anything...just cramping. Anybody else experience this?

Thanks!

It's also our first month trying (though with our second child). Also, last time around I think my midwife said bleeding without cramping is fine, cramping without bleeding is fine. It's just when they both happen together that you should worry.

Thank you! This definitely subsides some of the worry. And congrats to you, too!

If it helps put your mind at ease: I just had a healthy baby boy five months ago. I spotted bright red several times throughout the first trimester - on and off for a few days... it would disappear and then come back a week or so later. Really bothered me but turned out to be just fine. duck.gif
