So she started getting yellow diarrhea yesterday morning and shes got dark strands in her poo and light ones, I'm worried she might have worms. Shes acting tired and not all spastic as she usually is. She's 11 months old, and very healthy, has not thrown up and I don't believe she has a fever. shes been having diarrhea quite often through the day. I have a dr. appt with her pediatrician today. Just wondering if anyone else has been through this or have any idea what it is.

Typical worms behavior is itching. They don't cause diarrhea that I know of. They can make a baby irritable just because they can interfere with rest time and what not. The easiest way to check for worms is to use a piece of scotch tape and after she has first woken up in the morning before having a BM, put a piece of tape on her rectum and pull away. If there are worms, then there will be little white eggs on the tape.
It sounds more like a viral or bacterial GI thing to me though..
