When did your toddler go to one nap per day?

DS is almost 14 months and recently, within the past week or so, he's gone down to one nap at home and at DC.  Before, it's been a mid morning and then a late afternoon nap..usually one to two hours each time.  Now, it's a sold two to two and a half hour nap after lunch.  Is this pretty normal?  DS1 didn't cut back to one nap until he was 3...... sigh. ;)

My son cut back to one nap at about 11 months. He went back to two for the summer at 15 months (with a 5 am wake up and a late bedtime).

My DS dropped to one nap at 16 months. It was a pretty quick transition and we haven't looked back, although there have been a couple times that he has had a really bad day and needed two naps. Dropping to one nap has been awesome, mostly because he's more tired when bedtime rolls around, so he falls asleep so much faster.

Mine cut back to one nap around 14-15 months. It happened rather quickly, I recall.

We had a really long transition period--some days he did two, some days just one, between about 12-15 months. Now at 18 months, he's definitely consolidated to just one.

DS started nappin once a day around 19 months.

My son started napping once a day around 13 months. His naps last around 2 hours and it's usually in the early afternoon. It was a pretty simple transition. He just decided there was too much to do in a day! No time for sleeping. He goes to bed earlier at night, and sleeps around 12 hours. I'd have to say one nap a day is much easier, just because it's easier to plan things around his sleep schedule.

My son's naps got wonky at 15 months and I was convinced he was transitioning to one nap but then he went back to 2 solid naps until a couple of weeks ago (at 19 months).  One nap happens more regularly than 2 these days but it's still very unpredictable. I imagine it will take a few more weeks before he's 100% one nap. He was older than most when he dropped from 3 to 2 naps so I guess this is just his pattern.

DS started the transition at around 11 months, transitioned almost completely by 13.

Around 12 or 13 months I think (DD is 16 months now). It was completely uneventful for the most part. She didn't seem to get as tired as quickly in the morning and didn't go to sleep until around 12 or 1. She usually sleeps for 1.5-2 hours.

I have noticed that since he cut back to just one nap, he's been sleeping MUCH better at night... and longer.  Before it was 9-10 hours now it's 11-12 hours.
