Selling extra breast milk

Has anyone used Onlythebreast.com to sell their breast milk? I can't seem to get my (painful & annoying!) oversupply under control, and I have quarts of BM in the freezer that will only be wasted. (I can't donate it because of a certain medication I am taking, and my toddler refuses to drink it, and none of my friends need it.)

This website seems to be nicely organized and anonymous. I was thinking that mothers might decide against buying my BM for their babies because of the medication, but I've heard of cancer patients being buyers too. Also, on the website there is a whole section on selling BM to men who have associated fetishes. What do you gals think of this? I'm not sure if I see anything wrong with it. It's weird, but all fetishes are kind of weird if they're not your own, right? shrug.gif Hehe... Any thoughts?

I have donated through milkshare and disclosed the medicine that I was on.  It took a week or so but I did end up with a taker.  So, depending on the medication, you may still be able to donate.

I personally wouldn't sell it. I would make butter or something else out of it.  Gives me the eeby-jeebys to think of creeps doing whatever with it and getting off on it.  Just me.

Hehe, understandable :) But if you ship the milk you donate, how can you be sure that you aren't sending it to a person with a fetish posing as a mom in need?

Butter! Now that's an idea! Looking it up now...

Why can you sell rather than donate? Are you assuming that any sales are in fact to imho weirdos?

Have you confirmed that the medication is unacceptable to a real milk bank? I can see how it would be, because they are often use the milk for preemies and/or compromised infants. If it is suitable for non-compromised infants I'd probably go to milkshare.com .

The sale of body parts and bodily fluids (including bm) is illegal in the U.S. So, no, the sales are not legal but yes people do it.

I didn't ship--the mom came to pick it up at my house.
