Gotta brag here...

My boys and I sold veggies this afternoon in our subdivision- think Lemonade stand.

We had tomatoes, zucchini, cucumber, and jalapenos.  Get this, we sold out in less than 2 hours and made over $50!  Had to turn people away at the end, and intervene when two women were "fighting" over the last tomatoes!  So much fun!

Yay for you! That is awesome. How big is your garden? I would love some details about where you are and what you grow.

I have four raised beds- 4ftx8ft

1 has tomatoes and basil, one has peppers, one has cucumbers, and one is a salsa garden, with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and cilantro

20 or so 10-15 gallon pots with tomato plants

3 95 gallon pots with strawberries, peppers and zucchini

Then cantaloupe and watermelon in the ground.

Oh, and we are zone 9- Texas.  I started all the tomatoes and peppers by seed in Jan.  I put out the first transplants in the first two weeks of Feb.

What are you growing?

Oh, wow... that soulds like a dream :) It's what I want my garden to grow up to be :) I am in Florida and got a late start I think. It's my first year.

I have 2 4'x4' beds, and one 2'x4' bed  plus 2 hanging topsy turvy tomato plans as a test, an area for watermelons and pumpkins.

My gardens have 8 tomato plants, a cherry tomato plant, jalapeno, 3 cherry peppers, 3 bell peppers, 3 fajita peppers, 2 cilantro, thyme, sage, rosemary, 2 flat leaf italian parsley, dill, 3 basil, 6 collards, 6 corn, a mess of carrots, I just planted some seeds for bush green beans, lima beans and my mothers day gift to me: two blueberry bushes. I am moving the corn against the fence and house so once the sun moves in the coming weeks they won't make the other veggies work so hard for sunshine.

How old is your garden?

Oh that's awesome!  I am just barely getting started and I don't really know what I'm doing.  Last year I discovered that I planted way too much lettuce for us and I had to give it away to neighbors all up and down the block.  heh. :)
