OMG I am incontinent

I keep peeing in my pants and I am not even pregnant. What should I do? Keigals? Sneezing and coughing fits are my issue.

If it's just happening during sneezing and coughing..and it's just a little leak, then yes, Keigals would most likely be your best bet.

If you are leaking intermittently/constantly and it's not triggered by some physical jarring, then you may want to talk to your doc about it.  It could be an anatomy issue that a urologist would need to look into.

I'll second that.  She's great.

Get yourself a rebounder! (small trampoline) Five minutes a day of lightly bouncing (doesn't need to be jumping) will really help strengthen that little sphincter that keeps you from peeing involuntarily. Squats are really helpful as well, which I think is what is recommended in the aforementioned blog.

I've been reading about how the opening of the urethra is highly estrogen dependent -- meaning that as we grow older (menopause) and estrogen levels drop, this hormone change might cause the urethra to malfunction -- read this article on urinary dysfunction. Just a thought! Especially if you are in your late 30s or 40s :)

I can't find WHERE katysays says HOW to do squats or other exercises  on her site.

Here is a good essay about squatting and pelvic floor strength.  I need to start squatting more, I leak when I jump or run, even immediately after peeing.  Sometimes when I have a very full bladder I also leak, even if I'm sitting still.

ok, I am daft. I can count on one hand how many times I have been to a gym.

So,

1) Is a squat basically getting down into squatting and then getting up using bum and thigh muscles?

2) what does "two or three squat sessions" mean? (3rd KB paragraph)

My brother and I were talking about squatting today.  He showed me how he squats (to forage, do something on the ground, etc.), so I'll try to describe the process.

First, he puts his feet a little wider than his shoulders.  Then he squats down, keeping his feet flat on the ground.  Your feet will point out and your knees are wide.  If you are a lady you'll probably feel very exposed.  He rests his forearms on his thighs when he's not using them for foraging.

So, I hopes this helps.  And I need to practice my squat.  'Cause, I don't know...squat!  (ba-ding-ching)
