Anyone got the following info for Des Moines?

I'm making it short...late night, getting a cold...

DH is talking, has talked about for awhile actually, moving to Des Moines.  I'd like to know a few things...

Cowles Montessori elementary...good?  Any prayer my 1st grader (next fall) would get in?  Are there other "specialty schools" and can anybody tell me about them?  Or a good small public elementary.  (DS currently attends a magnet that I *love*, leaving it is the thing that makes me sad when I think about moving.)

LLL?  I also heard way back when (DH seriously talked about moving I think I was pregnant with DD) that there's a babywearing group?

Any Weston A Price foundation?  There's one just starting up where I am now and I was looking forward to being involved with it?

any other AP-friendly stuff?

Oh we also need a vax-free-friendly doc and I don't know anything about the vax laws and public school---my oldest is partially vaxed, my other 3 entirely unvaxed.

Kids are DS1 age 6, DD 4, DS2  2, and baby DS 5 months old.  I've been involved with LLL since oldest was a baby, like babywearing, youngest 2 CPM homebirths, bedshare to a little over a year, into all things natural...I guess a typical MDC'er.

Health food stores.... we just got a trader joe's that opened in west des moines over in the jordan creek area on Mills Civic Parkway. We should be getting a whole foods that opens soon. There is a great store called Gateway market right off Martin Luther King Dr. and Woodland in Des Moines. You can find farmer's markets in basically any town every week during summer time. Valley junction has a great one and the downtown Des Moines farmers market is wonderful! You can find your raw eggs and things there!
