holy freakin heartburn - Page 2

Good question! This is my first too, but I've read that there is actually a medical connection there. I strongly suspect my little one will be born with a full head of hair, based on combined genetics. LOL

DDCC to say -- I have the SAME list of heartburn inducing foods!  Bananas, bagels, and water are at the top of my list!!  But I could devour spicy thai food, chips and salsa with no issues what so ever.

I've started taking 1 Pepcid an hour before dinner.  It helps SO MUCH.  Ive only just recently started feeling the burn in the daytime, usually it was just after dinner, so I'm trying to keep a record if there's any food that actually triggers it or if i'm just SOL.  Feel better mama!!

I too think my kiddo is going to come out like a werewolf with how bad this heartburn is!!  We shall see!!

LOL @ "looking like a werewolf" From what I've read, the same hormone that produces hair growth is also responsible for heartburn, but who knows. I have a LOT of hair, so the odds of her coming out with a lot are pretty fair, but then again, we won't know for a couple more months.

Oh, and I thought of another thing that gives me heartburn, without fail- salad. SALAD. Who would have thought it?

I finally broke down and bought a bottle of liquid calcium magnesium citrate (Lifetime brand - strawberry flavor!) and I am in love with it. One tablespoon before bedtime keeps me from waking up from heartburn and it tastes like strawberry yogurt. Mmmm.

I've never had heartburn before, so this was a new thing for me. I mostly get it right when I lay down to go to sleep... but really have not found any certain foods that cause it for me.
