Laser Color Printer Recommendation?

I'm starting a home-based business teaching sign language to babies and caregivers.  I'm soooo nervous, I've never done anything like this before!

I'd love to get a laser color printer.  I'll mostly be printing marketing materials and some handouts for class participants.  I'd also love something somewhat economical as far as replacement toner cartridges, if that's even possible.  The idea of a Multi-function or all-in-one sounds great, but honestly, I probably don't really need one.  Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I've heard bad things about Brother printers  . . . are these things true?

I doubt this will be helpful because it's higher end (and very high capacity) but just in case...

We have a Ricoh AficioC430dn.  They're spendy (around $1k) but they are extremely efficient on ink.  They are also very high capacity (tens of thousands of pages a month) hence the crazy price tag.  The print quality is amazing though.  We use it to print packaging labels and color instruction sheets.  Oddly enough, it is way cheaper with that printer to do it ourselves then to contract out to a label printer, etc.

I was hoping to find something in the 400 - 500 range.  Probably can't go higher than that.
