Hello Wise Mamas, can you please recommend a person or place for prenatal in the Mountain View/Palo Alto area? Thanks so much in advance!

Hello there! I am so glad to hear that you are seeking a prenatal massage:) I'm a prenatal massage therapist practicing in Miami, Florida. If I may, I'd love to offer some suggestions. Prenatal massage is a specialized technique that requires specific educational courses. Each state has different requirements for practicing massage therapists. In Florida continuing education is mandatory if you wish to keep your license. Nonetheless, mandatory or not, a massage therapist wishing to cater to the prenatal community should always take an intensive certification course for the safety of their clients. Mother Massage Teaching courses travel throughout the country and certifies massage therapists. I recommend you visit the website http://www.mothermassage.net/  and request a massage therapist that has taken this course. I hope this helps!

Uhm, spam is awesome?  I don't know anyone *in* Mountain View, but you could call up Blossom Birth in Palo Alto and they might know of someone.  I went through Harmony Birth down in Campbell so I don't have anyone to recommend. :)

To be fair, I had my friend give me prenatal massage because he is a wicked good massage therapist *and* he comes to my house *and* he plays with my kids.  I win!  http://www.taylortherapeutic.com/  He has really good rates and he is extremely skilled.  I vouch for him personally and professionally. :)

Good luck!

Your massage therapist plays with your kids? That's adorable! :)

A bit far south for you but I swear by Rung at Burke Williams in San Jose. She did my massages with both my pregnancies and she was the only one who was able to help my hips pain (DS1 was engaged from 33 weeks onwards=ouch!) As of a couple months ago she was still there :)
