books, tips for parenting age 4+

DD recently turned 4, and I've realized that I'm not sure what this stage tends to be like.  I'd love to hear what I should be reading and doing at this point.  Thanks!

Me too! My guy isn't in school so the days are very long now. We're not doing as much as I'd like to because we have a baby but I feel like LOTS of outside time is a must for us.

There's a great article written by a former teacher about what skills kids should have at start of preschool and start of kindergarten.  Since your kiddo is 4, I guess start of preschool would be the right measure, right?  I hope this is helpful!
