13 month old not into solid food

While I am trying to a) be grateful I have enough BM to sustain him, and b) know that this, too, shall pass, I am concerned that our 13 m.o. eats so little solid food.  Blueberries are usually a slam-dunk, but we go through many meals where he eats maybe a bite.  Or not.  Sometimes more, but not often.  He does eat Oatios.  We have done purees (even tried jarred), homemade food, finger food, forks, spoons, finger feeding, self-feeding, warm foods, cold foods, you name it.  He ate way more solids at 9 months than he does now.  His weight and growth are super and he is in excellent health (except for low iron, for which we are using a supplement since all the lovely iron-rich foods I serve and cook in cast-iron pans wind up on the floor).  We have a WBV coming up on Monday with a new doctor and I am afraid to tell her the truth!  Maybe she'll be cool about it and have a suggestion.  Do you?  Thank you!

DD was the exact same way.  We started BLW when she was around 8-ish months.  It went great.  And then something happened and she lost interested for the most part.  Kids go through stages.  It will get better!  DD is a champion eater now (17m) and still loves to nurse very often.  As far as the coming up WBV, you can tell something like - he eats a little bit and still prefers breastmilk at this point.  There is nothing wrong with that IMO. thumb.gif

Ya our daughter went through some stages as well where she loved everything I guess because it was new and then she got sort of picky. Then she didn't want anything to do with foods through a spoon and wanted to use her own hands and so forth. Just different stages.
