Please be kind if you decide to leave comments - the article does not indicate if the circumcision had a medical reason behind it.  The child's family members are reading the comments, and they need support and sympathy more than condemnation. 

That being said, I hope this article shows some parents that the procedure is not without risk.

Are the parents reading comments on the link or here? If not here let me say: Wow, tragic. Now, he was 2 so why did they decide to do it now? These things are freak occurrences but once again prove how pointless and dangerous circumcision is. If they never go through with it, what's the worst that could happen? He grows up to have a tight foreskin or UTIs that are non-life threatening anyway? I know risks are everywhere in life and you can't live thinking about not doing surgeries for fear of them being botched. However this is cosmetic and so minor for health reasons that it might as well have been from botox or a nose job. If some grown adult dies from this it's one thing, but a child facing such an invasive and cosmetic procedure? Just furthers my disgust with circumcision.
