Why the new NEW/OLD trading posts?

Just wondering what the change is with the new NEW/OLD trading posts?  (last time there was a change with the, I think there was some 'announcement' when I went to the trading post part of the forum and I haven't noticed anything with this change).

I've also noticed people with fewer than 50 posts posting in there lately - has that changed?

Thanks.

We announced it awhile back. The Trading Post is now open to all members and posting is free.

The New Trading Post uses new features that are not available in the regular forum thread posting.

We have left the Old Trading Post up so that existing sales and trades can be completed but the forum is closed to new threads. New threads for new items for sale or trade are posted to The New Trading Post.

Can I also ask how or if guidelines changed for swapping or is it just for other features of the trading post?  I really liked knowing it was only open to members with a certain amount of posting/months of membership so I would want to know.

I've only seen the older swap guidelines up and nothing yet in the new side of the trading post (and am not really sure how to use the new format for organizing a swap).

Just trying to figure it out.

If this is outlined somewhere and I just haven't noticed, please point that out - I'm happy to look it up somewhere.  Thanks.

The new guidelines (up now) opens swaps to all members. But the swap organizer has the option to decline a member's participation based on feedback and on the person not being an established member.
