Has anyone heard of an allergy to lentils? We see our pedi in June and I am going to insist this time on referrals to gastroenterologists and allergists...dd has been having crazy sleeping and behavior issues (15 mo) that seem to come and go. Often our homeopath can get a great remedy and she goes from screaming three hours and night till she throws up to sleeping within 20 mins. Still, I'd rather not keep going "back there" we;ve been through all this over and over, massive elimination diets etc. I've posted on here many times and followed all the ideas....now she has eczema on ehr cheeks and several small patches on her back, and her upper arms are borderline. The reflux she *was* on zantac for had pretty much resolved but since the screaming episodes she's been gagging again too easily and waking up a lot when not propped up so I think it is back mildly.
Â
She also has constipation (sometimes black or greenish stools) alternating with too loose sour (off) smelling stools...

Does anyone else have sensitivities or intolerances to legumes? I mean I soaked them in acv for about 12=24 hours, used a dressing with acv and kefir in it and a dash of sauerkraut juice. The kasha was cooked in homemade organic chicken stock. It's just depressing because lentils seem to cause her to thrash all night, have bad gas and wake up with shrill cries and she ate hardly any and I ahd a small bowl. Other beans are questionable but not as bad.
Â
She seems to really love meats, seafood, fat (goat cheese yogurt) etc and barely touches grains and legumes. But we;re on a tight budget and used to be veggie so I wasn't anticipating and can't fully afford all this meat!
Â
I just want her to have healthy happy skin, healthy happy guts, and I will cook anything if it means better sleep. Has anyone had success with testing with a vega machine??
Â
what about with kefir and ferments....I really feel gut healing is in order and that this all stems from both a family history (mom has ibs, dad probably is a celiac and many of my aunts and uncles are celiac, my mom's dad used to love baked beans but got horrible stomach pains from them, and other things, dh has seasonal allergies and gets a lot of wind, much more than average... and dd has had quite a few antibiotics right from birth.
Â
i just cntinually feel like we are missing a piece of the puzzle with her...like all the crainiosacral, homeopathy etc. won't solve her sleeping/mood/digestive issues if she is allergic to things that I keep putting in her. With the elimination diet I would say dairy, wheat and lentils for sure but more detailed than that i'm not sure...
Â
anyway, just kind of thinking out loud here, if you have suggestions feel free to comment!
