We're having a (fill in the blank with gender)? What's everyone having? Post your u/s pics, too,...
Well I had my ultrasound yesterday. We decided not to find out the sex (I have never found out with any kids) but we did look at it and got a pretty clear shot of it. It clearly looks like...girl #4. My poor husband lol Someone commented to him about not having a boy and he claimed, "I have a dog!" lol I'm pretty surprised, as we have 3 girls and I figured surely this one would be a boy! But dh has 4 brothers and no sisters so I know it's possible, just didn't think it would be me!
Anyway, I got out our girl newborn clothes collected from the past 16 years and washed them this morning :) Lots of "awww"ing and "remember this!?" How amazing that the same outfits my almost-16 year old wore will be worn by yet another baby!
We will be finding out June 1. With Pascal, we did not find out, but since we only wanted 1 ultrasound, we decided to have the tech write down the gender and give the evidence in the picture in an envelope, in case at some point we wanted to find out. She said, "Good luck making it out of the parking lot," however, the envelope remains unopened.
Boy here! We did not find out the first time, so decided to see what it was like to know early this time. So far, I like both methods. The big surprise at the end was fun last time; knowing early is fun this time.
We are not planning to share this news with family and friends until the babe is born. (They don't know that we know, and we aren't going to tell them.)
We're having our third girl! We're excited because we get to use a name we've loved---AND we couldn't find a good boy's name!
Our new baby girl, Lahana Song is due October 25 (about 15 days later than we were expecting!).
We've moved to Ecuador about 2.5 months ago and I loved the fact that our ultrasound (done by an OB ultrasound specialist doctor) was just $25! Gotta love the prices for medical care here!
overseas SAHM/WAHM to midwife assisted DD 9/9/00, midwife assisted DD 10/18/02, unassisted birth DS 1/15/08, and a baby girl due 10/25/11
Here's an interesting story:
Went to my first US, and the baby had the cord between legs, legs crossed, and hands in-front of baby bits. Wasn't very cooperative in any sense, so I had to go back on Thursday to finish the measurements required-baby was still not cooperative. Was told there was a 50-60% chance it was a girl....
I am usually against lots of US appointments, but I had a special day planned for several months to go buy whatever gender specific items I could at an indoor "garage sale" where moms sell their used baby/kid stuff. SO, I found a private sono place and went for my 10 minute gender determination on Friday....within 30 seconds, we had a 100% gender determination...
It's a GIRL!!!! :)
